santa barbara part 2

Pictures I took from the pier and around the pier.

santa barbara part 1

Over the weekend, I went to Santa Barbara to visit my mom and visit all my favorite places. And also to eat at all my favorite restaurants, ha ha. On Friday, after I rode into town, I drove up OSM, aka Old San Marcos, my favorite road, and hit ECC (East Camino Cielo) to Knapp’s Castle. This is one of my most favorite places to escape to.

Here’s a short history about the landmark:

These are some of the pictures I took while I was up there.

more of nikki

Played around in Photoshop for a while and came up with this. Is it too much? I like that it’s dramatic.

lyndon’s wrx

I had a photo shoot this morning at 6AM down at a beach near San Clemente.  I took a lot of photos so here is what I’m working on so far.  I’ll be editing for a week or two.

beach day with nikki and travis

Today my friend Travis and his Fiancee, Nikki picked me up to go shooting at the beach. She was a great model! Here are some of the pictures I took.

x games were awesome!

I got to go to the X Games again this year. It was sweltering hot and I got a sunburn even though I wore sunblock. But it was all worth it. Lots of dirt, fast cars and crashes. I took over 700 pictures so I am slowly going through them all. I’ll keep adding to this post as I edit them. Here’s one for now.

Adam Carolla coming into the Venue through the metal detectors. He had to empty out his pockets just like the rest of us. He only had one dude with him, too. He was going in for an autograph signing we saw set up.

family photos

I finally got around to editing the family photos I took a few weeks ago.

The dad’s face is out of focus in the piggy-back one. I was focusing on the baby. I wish I was at a smaller aperture, but what are ya gonna do with a wiggly baby? It’s cute!

garage tuning parts

I did some photos for my friend’s shop, Garage Tuning.  These are for a kit he’s selling.

I was able to use my snoot on my on-camera 580EX II flash for most of them. I bounced it off the white background. And then I handheld the 430EX to light the front of the parts.
