It’s only a month away, now. As some of you know, I go to Vegas every year for the SEMA show. It’s a week long convention of endless amounts of car parts, accessories, modifications and cars in general. It’s basically my Mecca. We’ll be driving out on November 3rd and coming home November 7th.
This will be my 5th show, with only one year off back in ‘05 because I had strep throat. But this year is special. My good friend, Song, is getting married while all of our friends are in Vegas! She and her fiance are both car fanatics as well. And she adores vegas so it seemed like the perfect time and place to to exchange vows.
One more thing, I am her maid of honor!! It is really an honor to be part of their wedding. I have a lot to do with planning and organizing things, such as; the bachelorette party! Party in Vegas, it can’t get any better!
Vegas, here we come!
The happy couple.
I got to go to the X Games again this year. It was sweltering hot and I got a sunburn even though I wore sunblock. But it was all worth it. Lots of dirt, fast cars and crashes. I took over 700 pictures so I am slowly going through them all. I’ll keep adding to this post as I edit them. Here’s one for now.
Adam Carolla coming into the Venue through the metal detectors. He had to empty out his pockets just like the rest of us. He only had one dude with him, too. He was going in for an autograph signing we saw set up.
Yesterday when I came out to my car after work, it was sandwiched between a Viper and a Ferrari. Not sure if my co-worker did that on purpose or if I was just parked in the way when he was moving cars, but it was funny, lol.
Tonight is my second Hip-Hop class! I am so excited about this! I had a tough time coming up with choreography this week but I think it will get easier. My main issue is making sure that it’s easy enough for the kids. I don’t want to do anything too hard that will make them not want to come anymore.
I had sooo much fun at the track yesterday! It was freezing and my face got wind-burned, but it was totally worth it.
My new lens was great but I learned a few things during my first time out with it. One, Image Stabilization doesn’t help very much when it’s crazy windy! ha ha. Myself and the camera were all over the place. Two, apparently it’s hard to track and keep in focus white cars. A lot of my white car pictures were blurry. And third, I really need a monopod. I think it would have definitely kept the number of blurry pictures down in the wind. But it will also help with the weight of the lens. I didn’t think it would be a problem. But after holding it up for an extended period of time, my left wrist really started to ache.
Here are a couple pictures of Travis and our friend, Ferdie.
Travis was working on his car at our friend’s shop yesterday so I went over there to hang out for a little bit. It was way too hot to move so I didn’t stay too long. But I did get some sweet pictures. Here is one of them.
Check them out, Garage Tuning.
